Hypertherm's new SYNC cartridges are a great new addition to Hypertherm plasma cutters. The new consumables are an all-in-one system that can be easily screwed onto the torch, replacing the old 5 part consumable system. This cartridge is designed for drag cutting up to 6mm (1/4") thick.

Features:

Easy-to-identify single-piece cartridge consumables are color-coded by the process to eliminate confusion and simplify consumable inventory management.
RFID-enabled SmartSYNC™ torches and cartridges automatically set the correct amperage and operating mode, eliminating setup errors.
End-of-life consumable detection eliminates the uncertainty of knowing when to change the cartridge.

Q - What are SmartSYNC drag cut cartridges used for? A - 45A drag cut cartridges can be used with SmartSYNC torches drag cut metals up to 1/4" thick. Drag cutting involves dragging the tip along the work piece, making contact with the metal throughout the cut. Drag cutting is easier on the operator and produces less spatter.

Q - What torches are compatible with 45A drag cut consumable cartridges? A - Drag cut cartridges are compatible with all handheld SmartSYNC torches. Machine torches are compatible with gray mechanized consumables only.

Q - Which plasma cutters are compatible with 45A drag cut consumable cartridges? A - Hypertherm Powermax 65, 85 and 105 SYNC machines, as well as Powermax 45XP machines using the cartridge adapter.
